The Venturing Leadership Award (VLA) is presented annually by the Garden State Council to Venturers and Venturing adult leaders who have made exceptional contributions to Venturing and who exemplify the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
During the Fall Venturing Retreat at Pine Tree this past weekend, the crews of the Garden State Council elected our 2018 Venturing Officers.

Thanks to the efforts of many Venturers in the Garden State Council, we are happy to announce the addition of the Venturing Officers Association to our Venturing family.
On Friday, May 26th, members of Venturing Crew 9 participated in the annual flag placement at the Brigadier General William C Doyle Memorial Cemetery in honor of Memorial Day. Each year, units get assigned a section of the cemetary to place flags. Thanks to all the volunteers, the entire cemetary was decorated in a matter of minutes.
It is our distinct pleasure to announce to our Garden State Council Venturing community that the following individuals have been awarded the Council Venturing Leadership Award.
Crew 3 has been very busy recently. In the past month, 16 members of Crew 3 have started their journey to Summit and have earned their Venturing Award. Congratulations to all of these Venturers on this achievement.
On Friday, December 16, 38 Venturers and Advisors from 6 crews attended our Council Venturing Holiday Party at the Rowan Scout Training and Support Center. The evening consisted of a photo booth, board games, and pizza!
